Tools like ChatGPT can help you do a wide range of task and even help you generate images. The other thing is - Voice Cloning. OpenAI recently introduced a voice engine that can generate clone of your voice with just 15 seconds of your audio. There is no shortage of voice cloning tools on the web which can help you do the same. The newest tech giant which is going to use AI to clone your voice is - TikTok.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">We all know TikTok, posting short videos with filters, effects and all other kind of things. So TikTok found a way to use the voice cloning AI in its app. TikTok is working on this feature, which does not seem to really have a proper name, it just references it as "Create your voice with AI" and "TikTok Voice Library". In the latest version of TikTok I came across some strings which indicates that TikTok is working on it. I was also able to access the initial UI which introduces the feature and was able to see the terms and condition of "TikTok Voice Library" which user have to accept in order to use the feature. <p style="text-align: left;">As you can in the screenshot above, this is the initial screen which a user will see for the first time they access this feature. Tiktok claims that it can create an AI verison of your voice in just 10 seconds. The generated AI voice clone can be used with text-to-speech in TikTok videos. It also outline the process of how it will work. You have to record yourself speaking and TikTok will process the voice and use information about your voice to generate your AI voice. When it comes to privacy, your AI voice will stay private and you can delete it anytime. Tapping the "Continue" button brings "TikTok Voice Library Terms" screen which a user should definitely read, you can see here and read as well -</p><table align="center">

How it will work</h3><p>After agreeing to terms and conditions I was introduced with a screen where TikTok will show some text and user have to press the record button while reading the text. Now unfortunately I did not see any text. This is probably because the feature is not fully ready or the backend from which it fetches the text is not live yet. Manually pressing the record button and saying random things also shows an error. So, it's also not possible to provide any sample voice generated with it and see how it compares to other voice cloning competitors. If it starts working someday, it will process your recorded voice and generate AI version of your voice. <p>Google Play Service may not be the most accessed app from the settings, but every other app depends on it for some kind of feature. Google Play Service hosts various settings such as Google Password Manager, Find My Device, Game Dashboard and various others. In case if you are not aware, Google Play Services rolled out a recommended tab in february and now it  seems like some UI changes are coming as well. </p></div><p>In current Google Play Serives all setting are available under the "All services" tab. In this tab the settings are not that much organized and you have to go around looking for specific settings. The new UI change in the Google Play Services (v24.15.14 beta) will categorize the settings properly and will display all of them in the all services tab (without hiding them inside sub-menus) - Here are some screenshots of the current and new UI.</p><table align="center">

I am personally aware of this page when Google was working on it, it was empty but had both tabs. A user in RCS international group shared a video of the new setting UI (thanks again Anthony) on his samsung phone. I immediately remembered where to look for the setting UI and I was able to enable it on my phone. </p><p>If we come to the "when Google will roll this out?" part, I am not sure. Google can do it anytime because they took over a month to roll out the recommended tab.</p>

A few weeks ago I posted about WhatsApp working on <a href="https://twitter.com/AssembleDebug/status/1772145252415189196?s=19" title="">International UPI payments</a> which would allow users in supported countries to pay through UPI.</p></div><p>The new feature which WhatsApp might be working on is already available on other apps which I have mentioned above. Everyone who uses these apps must have come across the UPI payments through Rupay Credit Card option. These apps allow users to link their rupay credit card which users can use for making UPI payments to businesses through QR codes. This feature is not available for other type of credit cards. </p><p>So in the latest version of WhatsApp beta 2.24.9.14, I have come across a new icon which was added in the mentioned version update. Add a bank account to receive or send money to friends and family. <a href="%s">Learn more</a>.</blockquote><p>So both things indicates that this it is definitely in works, but I can't really say when this will be available. WhatsApp has been trying to tap into the payment market through its large Indian userbase but doesn't seem to reach the popularity of apps like PhonePe, Paytm and Gpay. It is yet to see if such new features will make any difference.</p>

One of the such capabilities includes image generation. Google's AI tool Gemini can generate images based on prompts provided by the user. We can do this on the Web version of Gemini, in the Google App and Google Messages app on Android. Google has found another way to make use of this feature.<div><br></div><div>Back in Nov 2023, Google announced Notes, a <a href="https://blog.google/products/search/notes-google-search-labs-experiment/" target="_blank">new experiment in search labs</a>. This experiment allowed users in India and USA to leave <b>Notes </b>(or we can say comments) on web page result when they searched through the Google app on Android/iOS. Initially Google allowed users to use predefined (stock images) images as backgrounds and text/stickers over these backgrounds. Google also said that they will bring the AI image generation feature for the US users. </div><div><br></div><div>Now it looks like Google has quietly rolled out the image generation support in notes. Google allows the users to add notes directly from the Google Discover page on both iOS and Android. So when you click on "Add Notes" button for a web page, you get the note edit screen. Here you can press the Add button and select "Create AI Image". A new page will open with a prompt box. Here you have to type the prompt which is limited to 1000 words and then tap on Create button. As usual, it will generate four images based on your prompt. Tapping any of the image will insert that particular image as the background for in your note. You can see in the screenshot where I used and prompt and used that image as background.</p><p>The negative side is that once you make your choice of selecting an image, you cannot go back to choose the other ones. You will have to write the prompt again which may not generate the same images as before. The quality of the images is not that good, and I can see images being pixelated because usually the images are generated in a 1:1 ratio but the app zooms in on the images to fill the height of the note screen. The code is about the Google assistant setup wizard which user will see whenever they will setup their Pixel 9 for the first time. </div><p>Google Messages has been going through major changes recently UI wise and feature wise as well. Google has completely redesigned the chat screen UI and the bottom bar which hosts all the stuff like input box, attachment, emoji buttons etc. Along with all these changes one change which Google brought was the input box redesign. I don't want to say much just look at the screenshot below how it currently looks. </p>

<p>As you can see in the above screenshots, the input box was just above the attachment and emoji buttons and many people disliked it (as far as I know it). It was kind of a new UI as compared to what we are used to in other apps. But seems like Google has realised or recieved enough feedback to backtrack on this change. <br></p><p>In the latest version of Google Messages beta <i>messages.android_20240404_01_RCO0.phone.open_beta_dynamic</i>, Google has brought back the single line input box, I mean the input box is now similar to other apps. Here are some screenshots of the new input box. It doesn't leave space below the input box and houses only the attachment (+) button.</p><table align="center">

I hope you are not totally noob because I won't be adding a single screenshot to guide you, just read and follow. It's the best I can do for now :p </div><div><br></div><h3>Required things -</h3><div><ul><li>Rooted devices running Android 12+</li><li>Google App latest beta version from Play Store or <a href="https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/" title="">Apkmirror</a></li><li>GMS Flags app installed with root permission granted. <a href="https://github.com/polodarb/GMS-Flags/releases/tag/1.1.0" title="">(GitHub)</a></li><li>Gemini should be available for you already in your Google app.</li></ul><h3>Steps - </h3></div><div><ol><li>Open the GMS flags app and tap the <b>Search</b> tab. Here look for <b>Google </b>app in the list and tap it.</li><li>Here you will see the list of packages. Other things to mention is that these flags won't enable the bottom search bar in the Discover page, but you will have the bottom search bar when you search for something. </div><p>Back in February Google <a href="https://blog.google/outreach-initiatives/google-org/google-digital-wellbeing-grant-teens-kids/" title="">Announced</a> the password sharing functionality with family members. Just after that, in March I <a href="https://thespandroid.blogspot.com/2024/03/Password-Sharing-Android-GMS.html" title="">spotted</a> the initial share button and a pop-up introducing the password sharing feature. More work has been done since and seems like it will be coming to everyone in just a few weeks.</p><p>In the latest version of Google Play Services beta 24.13.14, the changes hint toward a more complete feature, here is a video of how it will work. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gUtLpN14EuI" width="320" youtube-src-id="gUtLpN14EuI"></iframe></div><p>As you can see in the video, the tapping a share button of a saved credential will open a share sheet with the family memeber names and their profile pictures. You can select one or multiple members with whom you want to share password and then tap the share button. </p><p>Tapping the share button doesn't seem to do anything in the video, so it's possible that there is some work left to do. One more important to note here is (as you can see in the video) - <i>When you share a copy of your username and password, your family member can fill them using Google Password Manager. </i>This means the username/email/password will be shared directly in their own Google Password Manager and can be auto-filled through the Android's auto-fill feature.</p><p>If case if you have noticed one more thing - the redesigned password manager UI. It has been in developement since <a href="https://t.me/google_nws/3729?single" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">some months</a> and now appears to be fully ready. So it's possible it could also be rolled out in some weeks but nothing is certain.</p>

Back in January, WhatsApp added the ability to share voice notes and create polls in channels. </p><p>The voice note sharing functionality might be a limited experience for some people who want to share music with followers. Telegram allows almost all kinds of content to be posted in the channels. In case of WhatsApp, at least they may allow users to share music files such as MP3 files in channels.

<p>As you can above, the first screenshot is from the current UI of the attachment screen in channel, it doesn't have the "audio" option. The second screenshot shows the "audio" option which I enabled using some methods(secret :p & it's not a WhatsApp mod). The third screenshot shows the audio file which I sent in a WhatsApp channel using the "audio" attachment option. I want to mention one thing here is that - audio files shared in channel have the headphone 🎧 icon whereas the voice notes have the microphone 🎤 icon.</p><p>I am not sure when WhatsApp will roll-out this feature for channels. This would be a great way to share music and might even help in increasing piracy of audio music (but you know we can report channels :p)</p>

<p>As you can see in the screenshot, an emoji button is added besides the reply bar for an image (3rd screenshot). Tapping the button opens the reaction selection popup where you can choose any reaction. The cool thing is about this is that the boring white emoji button will be replaced with the whatever reaction you select. As you can see I reacted with a heart emoji and the smiley button got replaced with heart emoji. Also the selected reaction will be visible just above the reply bar in case if other people react with other reactions. </p><p>One thing to note here is that reacting to Images is nothing new. For single images you can already long press on the image in chat and react. But for images which are sent as group/grid, you have to tap the grid and it open all images in scrollable way. You can react by long pressing an image here. </p><p>The new reaction button will definitely help you react instantly to images which are sent in a group/grid while you open them individually. This way you don't have to long press again and again to react to each image. I am not sure when WhatsApp will roll out this feature.</p>

The latest addition in WhatsApp is similar to the like button we have all seen in Instagram and Twitter (X). As you can see in the screenshot, the heart (or the like button as we all like to call it) icon is placed just besides the bottom reply bar on the status UI. WhatsApp already allows users to reply with any emoji or sticker as they want by tapping on the reply bar and then selecting the emoji icon and choose whichever they want. The new like button will likely send an already predefined emoji like a thumbs up or the heart emoji or it could be a react like we do it on messages. I am not sure how it will actually work because in my testing WhatsApp just crashes whenever I tap on the like button. </p><p>The reason for crash is likely that the feature is still work in progress and won't be rolled out anytime soon. So I will give an update on this in upcoming versions.  In my opinion, this is a nice addition as it will allow users to react quickly on status updates and save a few second by not tapping and selecting emojis from the reply bar. </p>

Instagram and YouTube copied the popular short video content format from Tiktok and launched as Reels and Shorts. Tiktok might be also copying the whole image sharing concept of Instagram and turn it into a separate app called Tiktok Photos which I have reported first a few weeks ago. The trend of copying features is continuing. </p><p>The latest news is that - Tiktok is working on bringing the "Collaboration" feature which will allow creators to invite upto 5 other creators to make a collaboration post. We already know that Tiktok have "Duets" but this is only limited to 2 people only. This collaboration feature was made available in Instagram previous year. According to Instagram - <i>You can use Instagram Collabs to co-author posts with other accounts. The creator of the original post can invite another account as a collaborator. If the account accepts the invite, their username will be added to the post and the post will be shared with their followers</i>.</p><div>I did an APK teardown of the latest version <b><i>34.1.15</i></b> and it reveales some information about the upcoming feature in Tiktok. Here are some strings -<br></div><blockquote>• You’re invited to collaborate<br>• You’ll be listed as a collaborator on this post. It’ll appear in your profile, but you can’t edit the post, or withdraw any income it may receive.<br>• You’ll have to be invited to collaborate again if you change your mind.<br>• Decline invite?<br>• Accept invite?<br>• You’re now a collaborator on this post<br>• You’ve declined this invite to collaborate<br>• You’re no longer a collaborator on this post<br>• Pending invites<br>• Can’t invite or remove collaborators<br>• Collaborated with<br>• Who’s in this post?<br>• Invite collaborators<br>• You can only invite 5 collaborators<br>• You’ll no longer be listed as collaborator on this post, and it’ll be removed from your profile.<br>• Leave collaboration?<br>• Creators who accept your invite will be listed as collaborators on your post. Users will be able to invite other users as collaborators and they have to accept the invite in order to be added as a collaborator in the Tiktok posts. Declining an invitation and leaving an already accepted collaboration will be available as well. A user will be able to invite upto 5 other users/creators and is limited to inviting only 4 times only in a month. It also says "<i>Creators who accept your invite will be listed as collaborators on your post. It will appear in their profile, but only you can edit the post, and withdraw any income it may receive</i>". The account of the user who is inviting other users should be public and the post to which collaborators are being invited should be available to "Everyone".</div><div><br></div><p>The feature will be a welcome addition for the creators/influencers community. WhatsApp has also been rolling out a better dark mode instead of greenish dark mode. <br></p><p>Among all these one thing that's left for some change is the in-call UI. I am specifically talking about the bottom sheet UI here which hosts the video, speaker, mute and cancel buttons. <p>But WhatsApp might be working on bringing some much needed change in this UI. While messing around with WhatsApp to find if there is anything else WhatsApp might be working on, I stumbled upon this newer change. All the buttons are now hosted in a single circular rectangle and if you see closely, the icons have been also replaced with a filled version of icons. Like the 3 dots icon ••• , tapping on it does nothing. Recently they rolled out a new <a href="https://thespandroid.blogspot.com/2024/02/Google-Contacts-Messages-on-w.html" title="">contact ringtone page </a>and spotted working on a "<a href="https://t.me/GappsLeaks/527" title="">Organize</a>" tab which overhauls the old "Fix and manage" tab. </p><p>Google has been rolling out a new Google Contacts version 4.28. I was able to enable the new contact search bar. In the previous version I also <a href="https://thespandroid.blogspot.com/2024/02/Google-Contacts-Messages-on-w.html?m=1" title="">spotted a UI change</a> which added a "+" sign in the the search bar of Google Contacts. We have all seen this search UI in the Google Play Store. The only change is here is that the microphone icon is replaced with a 3 dots icon which gives you the option to select/select all contacts and the notification icon is replaced with a plus sign which lets you add new contacts. </div><p>Just a few days ago, Google has been <a href="https://thespandroid.blogspot.com/2024/03/Google-Keep-New-Bottom-Toolbar.html" title="">spotted testing a new toolbar</a> to create new notes which was similar to the floating navigation bar in Google chat. While it was pretty good and recieved positive reactions but looks like Google keep may not be settling on it. There is a new version released this week of Google Keep and I managed to enabled yet another type of new note creation button.</p><p><b>Update</b> : A further look into the code changes reveals that Google completely got rid of the previous floating navigation bar which it was testing a few days ago.</p><p>In the latest Google Keep version 5.24.112, I was able to enable a new floating fab button to create new notes. This time it is similar to the floating button which you see in the Google Calendar app. Here is the screenshot from the Google Keep - </p><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Q73gYX8jraI/ZgLwjApiyPI/AAAAAAAAclg/fJamUecHJzIZ-R-3efeRc4z4UKOAJNFKQCNcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_ORG_1711468430065.png" imageanchor="1"><img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Q73gYX8jraI/ZgLwjApiyPI/AAAAAAAAclg/fJamUecHJzIZ-R-3efeRc4z4UKOAJNFKQCNcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_ORG_1711468430065.png" width="400"></a></div><br>As you can see in the screenshot, the whole bottom navigation bar has been replaced with a fab button with plus sign. Tapping the button expands it vertically and you see three options now. First one is to create a drawing note and second one to create a list note and the third one to create a simple text note. </div><div><br></div><div><strike>So it seems like Google might be experimenting with two types of options to replace the old navigation bar. We will see which one will make it to the final.
