Google has recently launched a new feature for the Google Play Store called "Collections". I won't go into its details but you can see all the information about this feature in this AndroidAuthority article. Google has released the feature but it is only available for US users and plans to expand it outside the US as well.

But if you know about Google, that might even take months. In case if you have got a phone which is rooted, you can enable it now and even outside US. Two users from my telegram group have tested this method and it worked for them. I can't guarantee the same thing for everyone though. In this post I am listing the tools and necessary steps which is required to enable the feature.

Required Things

  1. App manager - Download from GitHub
  2. Play Store (42.0.20) • Download from Apkmirror
  3. A rooted phone

How to enable

  • 1. Open app manager, search for play store and open "activites" tab, then type "cube" and a Collections activity will show up.

  • 2. Long press the toggle which you in the right of the activity and select "enable". This will make the activity launch-able. If it's still stays grayed out then tap on three dots on top right and "apply rules".

  • 3. It should be enabled now and you can launch the collection activity to start the onboarding process.
  • 4. In order to enable the Collections widget, tap on the Receiver tab and search for "cube". You will see two results and enable them using same step which we did for enabling activity. You will start seeing the "collections" widgets in widget picker now which you can place on home screen.
