 This is the ZUI semiGSI which was made from Lenovo Z5 system. ZUI is a customized version of android just like MIUI, for ZUK series smartphone of Lenovo. It is different from MIUI and gives a new simplistic look and smoother experience. This semiGSI is based on Android 8.1 and is 64bit. You can use google camera , moto camera as well as the default ZUI camera. Other than this there are some bugs ,which can not be fixed due to limitation from vendor and system.  </br> </br>  Due to community project treble support for G5 Plus , its been possible to use it on G5 Plus. If you want to proceed to install this on your G5 Plus, you need to have a rooted and unlocked phone along with treble TWRP installed. If you didn't understood what I just said, then this thing is not for you. It needs some common knowledge of these things, you can look on google for more information about these things. <br />

You don't need to flash MIUI vendor or any patches this time, just restore the twrp backup and you are done.</b><br />

</ul><h2><span>How to flash</span></h2>1- Extract the zip, it is a TWRP backup of boot , system and vendor, Put the whole extracted system backup folder  in the TWRP backup folder.  (Internal Storage/TWRP/backups/*device id"/here).     </br> </br>    2- Go to TWRP and wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache.   </br> </br>       3- Restore the ZUI 5.0 system,boot and vendor backup using restore option in TWRP     </br> </br>   4- Reboot now. ;) It will take around 5-10 minutes to boot.       </br> </br>       <div class="separator" style="clear: both; Mi8Lite's MIUI 10 Latest sGSI for Moto G5 Plus

Moto G5 Plus earlier received port of MIUI 9.6 and MIUI 10. The MIUI 10 port have some annoying bugs because it was a port from an earlier version of MIUI 10 , some miui apps were not working and some apps were not from the new MIUI 10 we see in today's MIUI builds. <br />

There was no hope for port of newer MIUI 10 versions for Moto G5 Plus, but thanks to project treble we can use almost new versions of MIUI 10. There are some semi GSI which have been built by devs like fxsheep/jspiri, which makes it easy to use MIUI 10. Moto G5 plus already have the treble support (unofficially) , so we can take advantage of this thing and boot newer v10 semi GSIs with the vendor of our MIUI 10 port by jhenrique. This semi GSI has been ported from Mi8 Lite smartphone (China version).<br />

This guide is not for complete noobs, I hope you already know about how to use TWRP, if your phones bootloader is not even unlocked then this article is not for you. <br />

<h2><span>How to flash</span></h2>1- Extract the Mi8Lite zip file and put the ROM backup folder (MI8Lite_10...)  in the TWRP backup folder. (Patch 1 and patch 2 not needed)<br />

2- Go to TWRP and wipe system, data, cache and cache/dalvik.<br />
<br />
3- Install MiUI 10 Vendor Zip.<br />
<br />
4- Restore the MI8Lite_10 system backup using restore option in TWRP.<br />
<br />
5- Flash Boot patcher, All Fixes Zip and Magisk (important) (no need to mount anything).<br />
<br />
6- Boot into system .<br />
<br />
<b>Note:</b> anyone who has already used MIUI on their device before and has logged in to the MI account when they use it will have to log in again at the first boot and need internet for this.<br />

<h2><span>How to Install Google Play Store/Services/Contact Sync</span></h2>1. Install the Google Installer apk which we downloaded earlier.<br />
<br />
2. Open it and click on the big blue button given inside it. <br />
<br />
3. Allow permissions which being asked while installation  ,install all downloaded gapps one by one, don't open any app untill it is finished.<br />
<br />
4. You can login to google account now, if there is any problem occurs then try after rebooting <br />
<br />
<b>Grant all permissions to "Google Contact Sync" to sync contacts without issue.</b><br />
<br />

This list will contain all the substratum themes which works on Android Pie. It is now necessary to be rooted in order to use substratum theme, if you are not rooted using magisk then you can not use these themes on Android Pie 9.0. <br />

For now, to use these themes you need to install substratum on your phone which you can download <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.substratum&hl=en_IN"><b>from here</b></a> . Earlier we needed to use a specific Ci version of substratum to use themes on Pie. Ci build of substratum is not needed now, the substratum app from Play Store works for Pie too.<br />

<h2><span>How To Use</span></h2><b>Keep all of your apps up to date to avoid error while building overlays.</b><br />
<ul><li> Download the substratum app and the theme which you want to apply from Play Store</li>
<li> Open Substraum and grant root access, then select the theme.</li>
<li> Select your android version (9.0/Pie) and enable the toggle in front of it. Choose the theme preferences as you like.</li>
<li> Now tap on the floating button then click "Build and Enable". </li>
<li> Now reboot your phone and open substratum again.</li>
<li> Tap on "Manager" and you will see list of all the compiled overlays ,then rnable "Select to toggle all overlays". </li>
<li> Then tap on the floating button again and select "Enable Selected". </li>
<li> Done. </li>
</ul><br />
<b>Important Note -</b>  For some people the overlays don't appear in Manager after reboot. If that happens , make sure you disable all magisk module and do the whole process again. You can enable modules later. <br />

The first custom ROM which is build from source has been released for Moto G5 Plus. Arrow OS 9.0 is the first Pie ROM released publicly for the users. New ROMs based on Pie are on the way. These are full ROMs, not GSIs. Check the flashing instructions at end of this post Or on respective XDA thread of ROM, Check the info before downloading ROM so you can know what bugs it has.<br />

Generic System Images (GSIs} enabled the android devices that comes with Treble support to use Stock AOSP android and any other GSIs. Moto G5 Plus received unofficial treble support thanks to dev Vache. As we know Google officially supported the GSI system and released documentations on how to build GSIs. After the Pie sources release devs started working on building GSI and making custom ROMs. As of now for Moto G5 plus there is no Pie based custom ROM is available, but thanks to project treble, we can use the GSIs which are based on Android 9.0.<br />

<h2><span>Remember</span></h2>The pixel experience GSI comes in a Zip format, you have to extract it first using any archive manager like Zarchiver or Winrar. You will get a .img file after extracting, this is what we need. <b>Pixel Experience GSI already includes gapps</b>, we do not have to flash gapps separately. Make sure you using treble enabled TWRP.<br />

Its been a month since the Android Pie is released,the biggest update which introduced material design 2.0 , Digital wellbeing, Adaptive brightness, Adaptive battery, new navbar gestures and background restrictions of app. There are a lot of other under the hood changes in Android 9. <br />

Here we at Moto G5 Plus have been waiting since a month to get first public build of a custom rom based on Android 9.0. The wait is going to over soon as we have got the first working pie build of GZOSP rom, it has not been released publicly yet, but considering the fact that everything works on it, it won't take much time to release. I have been using the GZOSP test build for some days, and in this post I am going to share some screenshots of it and will try to tell about the features that are working on it.<br />

I flashed the GZOSP rom along with the opengapps which are build specifically for 9.0, it was easy to flash just like we do for any other custom rom. Its a non-treble rom , having 64bit architecture. The rom ships with Drunk Optimus kernel by default, but I have been using Ace Kernel on it, which is ready to flash on upcoming Pie Roms for Moto G5 Plus.<br />

The things I have tested are working, maybe I have missed something. The rom is very snappy to use, and the animations makes it even better to use it. Regarding VoLTE issue, there is a fix already available , but VoLTE can be fixed when the final builds of these Pie Roms are released because devs are still working on it to fix some things.<br />

This post was just to inform users that stable pie roms are coming , I will update this post as soon as the GZOSP is released by the developer himself, with a new post on how to download and flash it on your Moto G5 Plus. I have disabled the pie navbar gesture because I prefer to use moto actions.

Android P for moto G5 plus is now available , thanks to project treble. Moto G5 Plus was a simple phone with no treble support, but recently it got unofficial treble implementation which made us possible to run android P on G5 plus. Its not the final P, its a developer preview 5 which was released by google only for some limited high end devices. Recently developer erphan abdi ported the developer preview from Pixel 2 and made it available to all treble enabled devices in the form of GSI image.<br />

I have tested this ROM on my Moto G5 plus , and I am one of devs (No, I am not a dev actually) from the team who helped in fixing volte and camera issues as well as testing of the kernel to fix storage issues which we were facing before releasing it to the public on XDA and Telegram.<br />
<br />
If you are totally new to custom ROMs and GSI things , then I suggest you should search on google about it and try to learn before trying these things. This article is only for those who are familiar with flashing custom roms.<br />
<br />
As of now the ROM is running fine without any major issues which stop you from using it as daily driver. So lets get started and see the procedure of how to flash and use it. <br />

<b>Notes:</b><br />
-VoLTE will not show any "HD capable" sign in status bar or "Enhanced 4G Support" in network settings , you have to call to test it.<br />
-On first boot , Device will power off automatically and go to recovery, don't worry , just reboot again and it will be fine this time.<br />
-After boot You have to install Google Play Services version 12.8.74 (<a href="https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-12-8-74-release/google-play-services-12-8-74-100400-204998136-android-apk-download/">apkmirror</a>) to get rid of notifications after boot. Install it via adb or by downloading apk file on ur phone or PC.<br />

<b>Enable P style gestures:</b><br />
If you see oreo style navbar by default , Go to settings > Sytem > Gestures > then turn ON "Swipe Up on Home Button"<br />

<b>Enabling MTP :</b><br />
Go to Settings > Developer Options > Default USB Configuration > Select "File Transfer"<br />

<b>Bugs:</b><br />
1- Flashlight option in QS tiles is grayed out sometime, just reboot one or two times to make it work.Flashlight in camera apps works all time.<br />

Android 8.1 Based Lineage OS For Lenovo A6000/+

Finally after a long time Android 8.1 is now available for Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus. Harshit was working on it for almost one and half a months and finally he gave almost stable and working Android 8.1 in the form of Lineage OS. The main thing here to notice is that developer Harshit decided to move to 64Bit arch for Android 8.1 because camera was causing some issues on 32BIT arch. <br />
<br />
So this is LineageOS 15.1 based on Android 8.1. Lineage OS 15.1 is also a work in progress so everything in this ROM is not perfect, you will find that some minor features will not work, but its totally neglible because they won't cause any issue for while using. <br />
As of now there there are no bugs in this rom, everything seems to work fine. You can also use it as daily driver. I am repeating again its a 64BIT ROM.<br />
<br />
I am providing here instructions on how to flash it , there is a little thing you have to do before flashing. Actually you have to flash the latest TWRP 3.2.1.0 in order to flash this ROM without any errors. So before flashing update your TWRP to latest version. You can download it from download links I am giving below.<br />

How To Flash</span></h2><br />
<b>1. </b>Download The ROM/Gapps in internal storage or External SD card as you like.<br />
