Pure Black Theme For Huawei EMUI 5.0/Nougat Smartphones

Pure Black is dark theme . Various apps are themed such as settings, dialer, gallery , messages and maybe more . As you can see in screenshot , it is totally a black theme with wgite text colors . App icons are changed with black and white combination of colors. This theme has been built by <b>Maurydes</b>, a Recognized Themer in XDA forums. Theme has been tested on Huawei Mate 9 smartphone running EMUI on Android 7.1.<br />

<h2><span>How to use ?</span></h2><b>1.</b> Download the theme file from above link . Its a <b> .hwt </b> file which simply means HuaWeiThemes.<br />
<br />
<b>2.</b> Now move the downloaded theme file to <b>HWThemes</b> folder in <b>Internal Storage</b> . If the folder is not present then you can create new HWThemes folder in internal storage. <br />
<br />
<b>3.</b> After moving theme file to <b>HWThemes</b> folder ,open <b>Themes</b> app from your homescreen. <br />
<br />
<b>4.</b> Now you will see the new theme in your theme list. Click on it and then apply. <br />
<br />
<b>5.</b>  A Reboot is better after applying a theme .<br />

Android O is still in preview face and new Google is pushing new feature such as system wide snoozing, a new ambient display re-design , Setting app is improved a lot with new features and there are other 100s of under the hood improvements and redesign. <br />

Pixel Launher is one the newest part of android which some time ago was exclusive to only Google Pixel Smartphone but later on it was made available on google play store . The pixel launcher which is provided by google on google play store is actually different in some aspect from Pixel Smartphone launcher. Thats not a big problem , Some people are happy with the pixel launcher and some are not. Various laucher provide the ability to switch to Pixel view with extra useful features .<br />
<br />
Android O comes with new updated pixel launcher. APK file of Pixel Launcher is now availble on apkmirror but you can not install it as a normal app on your device,  You will face "Application Not Installed" error .  <br />
<br />
So what should we do in this case ? . We have to do nothing . Pixel launcher from Android O is backported to android 6.0.1+ devices by xda member Linuxct.  So if you are using Android Marshmallow (6.0.1+) or Android Nougat(7.0+) then you can install it on device right now. This will work on Rooted as well as unrooted devices. <br />
<br />
There are two thing you should take care of : First - If you already using pixel launcher then you have to uninstall it .Second is that, most of the times, the first time you try to open the app it needs to generate a file called reflection.engine, which is required by Pixel Launcher. Since it doesn't exist, the app forcefully exits. Give it one minute and try to open it again, then it should be working.<br />

Validus ROM for Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus is build from source by Harshit Jain . This is an unofficial build . We already have some ROMs which are built from source such as Ressurection Remix , AICP, MOKEE and AOSP Extended. The best thing about all these roms is the performance and battery backup . These Roms are nearly bugless and can be used as daily driver. <br />

So lets talk about the new Rom i.e Validus Rom or Validus OS. I am currently using this rom on my lenovo A6000 Plus . This rom is built by Ground Zero Roms team . Ground Zero Team maintains 3 Roms and these are Tesla Rom, Tipsy Rom and Validus Rom. This rom is bugless for now because I did not noticed any bugs yet.<br />
<br />
As usual Validus Rom is very smooth with stock kernel, thanks to harshit for optimizing stock kernel to such a perfect level.  There are no customization available for kernel .All options are same as we see in a stock kernel . Fast charge option is not available . <br />

In terms of customization , this rom offers some useful options . Not much customization is available as we see in Resurrection Remix Rom . This rom has an inbuilt dark theme which switches the default white theme with pure black color theme , it also looks good. See screenshots.<br />

How To Flash</span></h2><b style="color:red;">If you want to use Magisk Root then Skip step 7 and 8 , but if you want to use SuperSu root then follow each step as written below. </b><br />

<b>1. </b>Download The ROM in internal storage or External SD card as you wish.<br />
<br />

Pixel Dusk Theme is a light dark colored theme with a dark looking background image. It gives a nice and smooth look to your EMUI 5 based huawei smartphone. App icons comes with rounded corners just like pixel icons. <br />

Most of the system apps are themed and its the final version of this theme , which means theme is already perfect and no there will be no update in future.<br />

New TWRP Release i.e. V3.1.0.0 provide users the ability to backup and restore their current roms directly on your Computer. All you need is , Latest TWRP Recovery, Minimal ADB , and a working brain. New versions of TWRP are coming out for various devices . Devices with official TWRP Support will soon recieve the new TWRP . <br />

If you have latest recovery and a PC then you don't have to worry about internal storage of your phone because you can make backup of several roms without worrying about storage. <br />

Here I am writing a handy guide to create an ADB backup on Computer with TWRP V3.1. <br />

<h2><span>How To Take TWRP Backup On PC With ADB</span></h2><br />
<b>1.</b> You should be on latest TWRP i.e. V3.1. <br />
<br />
<b>2.</b> You need ADB setup on your PC. Check out <a href="https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790" target="_blank">  Minimal ADB and Fastboot and how to set it up. </a><br />
<br />
<b>3.</b> Turn on USB debugging .<br />
<ul><li>Go to <b><i>Settings >> About Phone</i></b></li>
<li>Tap <b><i>Build Number </i></b> 7 times until it says "You are now a developer"</li>
<li>Under <b><i>Settings >> Developer Options</i></b> , Turn on USB debugging.</li>
</ul><br />
<b>4.</b> Reboot to recovery and connect your phone to PC via USB cable.<br />
<br />
<b>5.</b> On your PC, create a new folder where you want to save the TWRP backup files. Then do Shift + Right click on any empty white space inside the folder, and select <b>Open command window here </b>from the context menu.<br />
<br />
<b>6.</b> Once command window is open, type in the following command to initiate TWRP backup:<br />

<b>7.</b>As soon as you type the above command , TWRP Recovery will automatically open the <b>Backup</b> screen . You have to select the partition which you want to backup .<br />

You can take example of a banking app .Supppose you are rooted with SuperSu then you installs a banking app for personal use but suddenly you notice that the banking app closes automatically with a warning toast message that "This app can not run on a rooted device". <br />

Now what will you do ? You left with only one option and that is Unroot your phone to run that banking app . I am sure you will unroot your phone if you badly need the app for urgent purpose. <br />

<h2><span>Magisk V/s SuperSu </span></h2>Magisk does not touch any of you system files. That means it does not make any changes in System Partition i.e. it doesn't add any file in system partition. SuperSu changes your system partition and add some files in system partion in order to obtain root access. So basically Magisk is a systemless root solution.<br />

<h2><span>Advantages Of Magisk Root </span></h2>As i said earlier, if you are rooted with Magisk you can run almost any app that can not run on a rooted phone. <br />

<h2><span>How it works </span></h2>Magisk is based on phh supersuser which is an oper source root solution. Magisk works on any device running Android Lollipop 5.0+.  Now take a look at how it works .<br />
<br />
There are two things we need to make Magisk Work .One is a flashable magisk installer zip and other is Magisk App. First of all we need to flash Magisk Installer Zip through TWRP which modifies boot image of device and create a new magisk.img partion in your smartphones root directory. It also places necessary files in /cache and /data partion. As i said its a systemless root , so nothing is happened in system partion. but there is another to know here is that If you already rooted with SuperSu by Chainfire then magisk installer will try to delete all files related to SuperSu from system partion .Magisk will delete Su binary and 2-3 other things from System partition. <br />
<br />
Other thing we need here is Magisk App . Its same as SuperUser app which is used to manage root permissions . Magisk has much more to offer. It will provide you with some extra options that you would definitely like. See screenshots given below.<br />

• A popup will appear then click on <b>"Install"</b> .  A zip file will be downloaded and then installed by app automatically .<br />
• If the install is successful then reboot to activate magisk root. <br />
• In case if your device stuck on boot screen because of magisk then boot into TWRP and flash <b>"Magisk-Unistaller"</b> located in <b>"MagiskManager"</b> folder in internal storage.<br />
• Done . <br />

<h2><span>How To Hide Root From Apps </span></h2>• Open Magisk App<br />
• Swipe From Left And Click On <b>Settings</b>.<br />
• Check Mark (Enable) <b>Magisk Hide </b><br />

• You will now see <b>Magisk Hide</b> option in side navigation bar.<br />
• Click on It.<br />
• Select app from list from which you want to hide root. <br />

This is the Global stable version of MIUI ROM . It is ported from Redmi2 smartphone. I already shared the Russian Version Of MIUI . It was good but later it became unstable and users started facing some problems. <br />
